Manual therapy is a clinician-delivered, hands-on approach that includes joint mobilisation, soft-tissue techniques, spinal manipulation and neuromuscular re-education. In Back To Life, manual therapy is integrated with exercise, education and functional rehabilitation to deliver short-term pain relief and long-term functional gains.
Graded passive movements applied to spinal or peripheral joints to restore accessory motion, reduce pain and improve mobility. Mobilisations are tailored (grade and direction) based on exam findings.
High-velocity, low-amplitude thrust techniques applied when indicated and after screening. Performed by qualified clinicians for selected biomechanical dysfunctions and acute pain relief.
Trigger point release, deep tissue mobilisation, myofascial release and cross-friction techniques to reduce muscle tension, improve local blood flow and restore tissue mobility.
Techniques focused on retraining motor control, posture and movement patterns — including proprioceptive training and targeted activation exercises.
Faster pain reduction, improved joint mobility, reduced muscle guarding, and facilitation of therapeutic exercise.
Acute mechanical low back pain, neck pain with movement restriction, peripheral joint stiffness, post-operative mobilisation (as per protocol).
Active infection, recent fracture, unstable neurological signs, uncontrolled anticoagulation, suspected malignancy — clinician will screen and adapt plan.
A brief discomfort or soreness can occur, but techniques are graded and stopped if the patient experiences intolerable pain. Communication during treatment is essential.
Depends on condition severity and goals — many patients see significant improvement in 4–6 sessions when combined with targeted exercise.
